Luis Fellipe Moraes Castello

Luis Fellipe Moraes Castello is a Brazilian dental surgeon and public health researcher. He graduated in Dentistry from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) and completed a Multiprofessional Residency in Family Health and Primary Care. Before starting his master's degree, he worked as a dental surgeon in the Family Health Strategy of the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS), working in rural and socially vulnerable communities in Brazil.
Currently, he is a CORE Programme fellow and is pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) at the University of Glasgow. His main research interests include oral health inequalities, social determinants of health, epidemiology, and population health. His master's research investigated socioeconomic inequalities in the experience of dental caries among Brazilian children, using multilevel analysis to examine the contribution of individual and contextual factors. He intends to continue his academic career through research and teaching and, in the future, pursue a PhD focusing on health inequalities.
