The CORE Programme presented at Kenya Dental Association Conference

The CORE programme team visited Kenya in October 2025 as part of their ongoing programme activities.

The team held meaningful discussions with community link workers and partners in Mathare, Nairobi, regarding access to oral health services and the availability of ultra-processed drinks and oral hygiene products. The University of Nairobi hosted the team for an engaging dialogue on forging and expanding international academic partnerships.

The team also attended the 42nd Kenya Dental Association Scientific and Exhibition Conference in Diani Beach, where the overall CORE programme was presented in addition to the findings on the lived experiences of Nairobi’s street-connected individuals in accessing dental care and Community Engagement and Involvement (CEI) for tackling Infant Oral Mutilation in Makueni County.
