Dr Barsha Priya Deka, BDS, MDS is an alumnus of Jaipur Dental College, Rajasthan, India. She has over a year of diverse experience as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health Dentistry at Jaipur Dental College with multiple roles within the dental field where she was responsible for educating and mentoring undergraduate dental students.

Barsha’s academic area focuses on the integration of public health principles in dental practices, aiming to foster a comprehensive understanding of community health amongst students.

Barsha’s research interests are focused on understanding the impact of tobacco use on oral health, as well as the broader implications for public health.

Barsha has authored several scientific papers that were published in esteemed dental journals. She is also the author of the book “Dental Tourism” which highlights the significance of conducting thorough research when seeking dental care aboard. The book offers practical advice and valuable insights on how to select reputable dental clinics and destinations.

Barsha currently works as a Research Associate at Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. She will be working with Professor Abhishek Mehta to deliver the CORE programme in India.
